SepSolve Analytical and Markes International appoint Gareth Davies as Chief Financial Officer
29 July 2025
SepSolve Analytical and Markes International (companies of Schauenburg
Analytics Ltd) are pleased to announce the appointment of Gareth Davies as
Chief Financial Officer (CFO), strengthening the leadership team as both
companies continue their international growth.
Gareth joins from Lightico, a provider of digital tools for the
financial services and telecoms sectors. He brings a strong track record in
financial leadership, having previously served as CFO at Vortex IoT and
Tellermate, where he progressed to Group Managing Director.
“Gareth brings a wealth of experience and financial insight to the
group,” said Nigel Fry, CEO for SepSolve and Markes. “His appointment comes at
an exciting time for both businesses and will play a key role in driving our
strategic and operational plans as we continue to scale.”
SepSolve and Markes work in close collaboration, supporting laboratories
worldwide with technologies for gas chromatography (GC) and GC–mass
spectrometry (GC–MS).
SepSolve specialises in high-performance GC and GCxGC instrumentation,
time-of-flight mass spectrometry and powerful software tools for advanced data
analysis.
Markes complements this by providing leading thermal desorption and
automated sample extraction and concentration platforms that greatly improve the
analysis of trace-level compounds.
Together, their technologies create a fully integrated workflow – from
sample introduction to data insight – helping scientists meet complex
analytical challenges across a wide range of sectors, including environmental,
materials, food, fragrance and more.
Their collaboration is supported by shared global infrastructure for
manufacturing, service and technical support. With offices and laboratories in
the UK, Germany, China and the USA, both companies are recognised for their
technical innovation, product performance and customer support.
Commenting on his
appointment, Davies said: “I’m delighted to be joining SepSolve and Markes at
such a dynamic stage. Both companies are widely respected in their fields, with
strong ambitions and the capabilities to deliver. I look forward to working with
the teams to help realise the group’s strategic goals and future plans.”
