SepSolve and Markes at Pittcon 2026
11 February 2026
SepSolve and Markes will be exhibiting at Pittcon 2026, taking place 9–11 March in San Antonio, USA. The team will be located at Booth #1537, where visitors are invited to discuss applications, analytical workflows, and practical approaches for the reliable GC–MS analysis of volatile and semi-volatile compounds.
Alongside the exhibition, scientists from SepSolve and Markes will contribute to the technical programme through a series of oral and poster presentations covering environmental monitoring, petrochemical and energy analysis, materials characterisation, and food-related applications.
Several presentations highlight the use of comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography (GC×GC), fast gas chromatography (Fast GC), time-of-flight mass spectrometry (TOF MS), and advanced data processing and chemometrics software. These techniques are applied to challenges such as petrochemical monitoring and characterisation, rapid process insight, trace-level impurity detection, and detailed compositional analysis of complex samples.
The oral presentation programme includes work on fit-for-purpose chromatography for petrochemical monitoring, enhanced workflows for both targeted and untargeted breath analysis, advanced sampling and pre-concentration of contaminants in environmental water, hydrogen fuel impurity analysis, and the use of high-capacity sorptive extraction combined with chemometrics to understand chemical variability in food samples.
The poster programme covers a range of current and emerging topics, including PFAS analysis in air, volatile profiling of recycled plastics and packaged materials, advances in gas chromatography–olfactometry for sensory applications, and comparative strategies for occupational air monitoring using thermal desorption.
While SepSolve’s GC×GC, Fast GC, TOF MS, and software platforms are featured within the scientific programme, visitors to Booth #1537 can meet the combined SepSolve and Markes team to discuss applications, workflows, and analytical approaches. With Pittcon taking place in a region of strong activity in fenceline monitoring, US EPA Method 325 will be a particular topic of discussion during the event.
Pittcon 2026 also reflects the continued collaboration between SepSolve and Markes within the Velaris family, combining complementary expertise across sampling, separation, detection, and data insight for gas chromatography.
Visitors are encouraged to stop by Booth #1537 to speak with the team. Full details of presentation times and poster topics are available here:
