Diversity and discovery in analytical chemistry

SepSolve Analytical, in conjunction with the Open University, UK, will be giving a free-to-attend one-day workshop on 29 March 2017 at the Open University, Milton Keynes, UK, covering the diverse application range of thermal desorption, GC×GC and time-of-flight mass spectrometry.

  • Hear from numerous guest speakers to learn how cutting-edge analytical techniques can reveal hidden information from challenging samples.
  • Get hands-on with the instruments during a lab session.
  • Tour the Open University’s facility involved in the Rosetta space mission.

Topics and speakers include:

  • “GC×GC: From Niche to Necessity”
    Bob Green, SepSolve Analytical Ltd
  • "Down to Earth : From sniffing comets to cancer and more..."
    Geraint (Taff) Morgan, Open University
  • “The use of thermal desorption and time-of-flight mass spectrometry for the analysis of electronic cigarette aerosols”
    Justin Frosina, British American Tobacco
  • "VOCs as an assessment tool for food quality and safety"
    Carsten Müller, Cardiff University
  • “Tackling the extended list of fragrance allergens with Tandem Ionisation and GC×GC–TOF MS”
